What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, business name (optional) and the message you write. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you send. Our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Why we use it
If you send us an enquiry, we use your details only to read and reply to it, and to prepare a quote if you ask for one. A separate section below covers the occasions when we contact a business first.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it within 12 months. If it does, we keep records for as long as the law requires.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website and provides cookieless analytics.
- Resend, which delivers the enquiry email to us.
- ImprovMX, which receives mail sent to hello@rescrownltd.co.uk and forwards it to us.
These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
If we contact your business first
Occasionally we write to a business we think we could help. We choose businesses from public sources: public business listings such as OpenStreetMap and the business's own website. We use the business name, address, phone number, website and any work contact details the business has published. We do not buy contact lists.
We do this under our legitimate interests in finding customers for our services. We write only to business addresses, and only about services relevant to that business. Our messages say who we are and why we are writing, and every message includes a way to opt out.
To stop hearing from us, reply "stop" or email hello@rescrownltd.co.uk. We will not contact you again, and we keep your address on a suppression list for that purpose only. You can also ask us where we got your details, or ask us to delete them, using the same address. We keep prospect details for no longer than 12 months unless you reply to us.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Email us to do so.
